Guided Reflection: Roots of Me
The Guided Reflection: Roots of Me is a simple tool designed to help you move from awareness to action.

ROOT helps you identify what is happening beneath the surface by exploring your thoughts, emotions, needs, and experiences.

REGULATE helps you check in with your mind and body, identify what is within your control, and choose strategies to feel more grounded and supported.

REBUILD helps you focus on your strengths, values, and next steps so you can move forward with greater clarity and intention.

At the end of the reflection, use the Let It Go and Let It Grow sections to reflect on what you are ready to release and what you want to nurture moving forward.​ You can complete this reflection before a therapy session, during times of stress, or anytime you need a structured way to process challenges and reconnect with your goals. Bring your completed reflection to session if you'd like to explore your roots more deeply.

The Masks We Wear™ Worksheet is designed to help you explore the roles, behaviors, and protective strategies you may use to gain acceptance, avoid discomfort, or navigate relationships. While these masks often develop for good reasons, they can sometimes create distance between who you are and how you show up in the world. This worksheet uses a DBT-informed framework to help you:
Discover the Mask
Identify the role or persona you tend to adopt in different situations.
Understand the Function
Explore what the mask protects you from and how it has helped you cope or belong.
Check In With Your Mind
Reflect on whether you are operating from Emotional Mind, Reasonable Mind, or Wise Mind.
Evaluate the Cost and Benefit
Consider both the advantages and consequences of wearing the mask.
Remove the Mask
Identify parts of yourself you may have hidden or minimized.
Reveal the Root
Reconnect with your authentic values, needs, strengths, and identity.
Take Wise Mind Action
Choose one small step toward showing up more authentically in your daily life.
